Training in a Box – Teaching Aids as a Tool to Teach

The program is designed to transform the way education is understood and delivered. This is a truly unique preschool educator training that gives the educator practical knowledge required in pedagogical areas on an everyday basis with tools and strategies that teachers can apply in the classroom setting from day one.

‘Training in a box’ is a set of trainings each that literally come in a box. They can be bought individually or as a set.   What is unique about the program is that each training workshop can be conducted in the centre using their very own in-house facilitator.

This has been made such that teachers can get great value even by viewing the trainings individually without the facilitator and can be very effective for professional development by using digital tools.

Advantages of Training in a Box are:

  1. Professional development workshops can be conducted at your own centre at a convenient time for the teachers (no coordination required with external faculty)
  2. Cost efficient- (no extra travel, boarding, lodging costs to be incurred for an expert trainer)
  3. Workshops can be conducted multiple times to train staff.
  4. Easy to use: they come with a PowerPoint presentation with inbuilt training videos which make complex concepts easy
  5. And the cherry on the cake is that the trainees get a certificate from the Early Childhood Association on completion of the trainings.

Edu Learrn Grow brings to you induction training workshops certified by the ECA that ensure that your teachers are all on the same level playing field.

Contents of each box:

  • A PowerPoint presentation with inbuilt training videos which explain concepts or debrief      activities
  • YouTube links which are relevant to the training
  • Material that is not usually found in the classroom for activities
  • 15 certificates – certified by the Early Childhood Association and Edu Learrn Grow (additional certificates can be bought at a nominal price)

How you can use this box:

It is easy to use these trainings. They are uploaded on the LMS and once payment is done you will be given access to view and use the trainings.  Each school will be given 10 login id’s during the lockdown period so that teachers can view the training at home.

Fifteen certificates and materials required for the training will be provided.

More about the Teaching Aids as a Tool to Teach module

Knowing the big picture of what you are teach changes the perspective and context of how you teach. Based on research of various theorists we will understand how toys and equipment are used as a vital tool to teach children in the early years.  Children in preschool are either in the sensory motor stage or in the preoperational stage according to Piaget.  They learn by using their senses, experimenting, exploring and moving around.  Giving children appropriate material for stimulation and learning is imperative at this stage.

In this workshop we will be able to understand how different kinds of toys help in developing the social, emotional, cognitive, and fine and gross motor skills of the child in addition to developing math, literacy and creative skills in the child. An Early Childhood Association accredited module on understanding the various kinds of toys and equipment used at school along with what they aim to teach.

Duration – 4 hours.
